Specific Needs Support

Students With Specific Needs

The Disability & Dyslexia Service (DDS) offer a confidential, professional advice and support to disabled students and those with health conditions or learning difficulties. For example, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, ME, Dyslexia and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

It is important that you disclose any learning difficulty, medical condition or mental health condition on your medical questionnaire, prior to the start of your course. There is funding available to access support called the Disabled Students Allowance.  The process for implementing support can be lengthy, so it is important to start the process before starting at RWCMD.

If you would like assistance or advice in applying for the DSA, or have any queries, please contact the Disability Adviser or Mental Wellbeing Adviser using the contact details below. A telephone appointment or contact via email can be arranged if this is more suitable for you.
