Students’ Union

RWCMD SU Black (Small)

The Students’ Union is run by a Non-Sabbatical Executive and a Sabbatical President, elected annually by the student body.

The Executive will represent your interests in College matters, and will represent you on certain College Committees and Boards, in particular, the Board of Directors and the Academic Board. It will also represent the views of College students at a National level, through NUS Wales and NUS UK as well as the media and other external organisations. Members of the Students’ Union can apply for an NUS Card, entitling them to local and national discounts as well as the opportunity to use the facilities at any NUS Affiliated Students’ Union.

RWCMD SU offers various services, ranging from information on welfare services, accommodation, and legal matters to organising clubs and societies (Christian Union, Sports Clubs and Teams, Lesbian, Gay and Bi-Sexual Society etc), entertainment and the annual Summer Ball.

Through their Limited Company (Madsu Ltd), the SU also operates the College Bar on behalf of the College and a shop located within the Students’ Common Room.

The SU operates under a Constitution.
