Foundation Degree Scenic Construction

Proof of Identity and Qualifications & ID card

New students will receive emails over the summer requesting that they upload clear copies of the following:

Identification UK Domicile students can present their passport or a form of photo ID e.g driving licence.  

A digital photo clearly showing your face – this will be used for your RWCMD ID card – these cards last for the duration of your course.

 The emails you receive will confirm which of the documentation we require and will include a SharePoint link for you to upload the information.

Online Registration

Before fully enrolling on the first day of term, all new students will be asked to complete an online registration task.

Online registration information will only be sent to College email accounts, therefore it is essential if you are a new student, that you activate this account as soon as possible. College email accounts can be accessed via http://office365.rwcmd.ac.uk

New Students will be sent an email in late-July / early August containing details of their College email address and password. This email will contain instructions on how to activate your account and change your password to one you’ll remember. Please note that New Students includes those who have studied at the College already and are progressing onto another course.

An email will be sent to your College email address confirming when online registration is open (this is usually a week prior to term beginning), you should ensure that the online registration task is complete by 5 August.

ID Cards:

Your ID Card is your personal RWCMD card. You will need your ID Card to give you access to campus facilities.

To make sure your ID card is ready you must complete online enrolment and upload a photo when requested to do so.

ID Card Collection:

If you upload a photo by 24 July and complete online registration your ID card will be available for collection from the Workshop on the first day of term. You should collect the card when you come into to attend induction activities on the first day of term.

Please note that you will need to present ID when collecting your ID card.

Monday 5 August:

Your Week 1 Timetable gives you the timing of the Sessions for the first week. Timetables for the rest of term will be accessible via Asimut at the start of term.

If you submitted your photo on time you will receive your ID card during your course session on the first day of term. If you do not submit your photo, you will need to contact Admissions@rwcmd to arrange an appointment to collect it on a later date.

Syllabus documents will be posted on Moodle.

If you are required to be in isolation on registration day please contact us; you should not attend College. We will make arrangements for you to collect your ID card when appropriate.

Tuition Fees & Finance

All students will be required to confirm with the Finance Department how they intend to pay their tuition fees. The Finance department will invoice the below students directly:

  • All Postgraduate Students (Home/EU/International)
  • All International students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate)
  • Any undergraduates who are self-funding or who have not received confirmation from Student Finance that their fees will be paid in full.

Details on making payment and how to contact the finance team will be emailed to you by the Finance Department.

All students should read the relevant ‘Payment of Tuition Fees’ guidelines contained within these sections and also the College’s Refund policy.

Tuition fees enquiries should be directed to Finance@rwcmd.ac.uk , please note that we cannot guarantee a same day response due to the volume of enquiries at this time.

Please Note

Students, who have loans through Student Finance – Failure to complete online enrolment and any other subsequent registration tasks by the first day of term may result in your loan payment being delayed.

Please note that we are not able to confirm any Foundation Degree in Scenic Construction / Foundation Degree in Scenic Arts student’s registration with SLC prior to the first day of term – 5 August. Following RWCMD confirming registration with SLC loan payments are usually sent through to the student within 3-5 working days.
