Professional Training

Professional Vocational Training = a Professional Attitude

The course you are studying at RWCMD will seek to train you to a level where you will be equipped to work in the world of the arts and related industries. They place a great deal of emphasis on you taking responsibility for your own training; they ask you to display a professional approach from the very beginning and not to take a passive attitude.

The industries you wish to enter rely upon a great deal of self-motivation, discipline and determination. All of these professions are particularly sensitive to punctuality and collaborative working practices.  In order to equip you for this environment, the college expects your record of attendance and punctuality to reflect professional standards. This has to become an established way of thinking before leaving College.

The hope is that you take personal and professional responsibility in experiencing everything we have to offer you through your training or as a member of the College community, so that you can become a successful arts professional.

Remember, professional training means a professional attitude
